DEBATE ON POLISH FURNITURE IN POZNAŃ

National Furniture Congress "POLISH FURNITURE – COMPETITIVE POLAND" was held on September 15 and it was organized at the Trade Fair FURNICA / DREMA 2016 in Poznań, during which Maciej Formanowicz, FORTE’s President of the Management Board spoke.

The purpose of this congress was to define new directions for the development of furniture industry in the country and abroad. Participants of the debates exchanged remarks and experiences, analyzed the current situation of Polish furniture industry, drew attention to the development of design, new technologies and the need for innovation.

Deputy Prime Minister Mateusz Morawiecki was the special guest of this event. During opening of the meeting, he drew attention to the fact that furniture industry is one of the key segments of the Polish economy and he promised the government support for domestic companies. During this congress, the President of the Polish Chamber of Commerce of Furniture Manufacturers Jan Szynaka honoured Maciej Formanowicz on behalf of the Chamber and entire industry with „Ambassador of Furniture” statuette. This distinction is awarded to persons, who particularly contributed to the development of Polish furniture industry over the last 20 years. The laureates also included Deputy Prime Minister Mateusz Morawiecki.
